Healing with the Hive:

A 12-week Apitherapy Certification Course

A grounded apitherapy course for homesteaders and healthcare practitioners alike, guided by Joy McEwen, apitherapist and natural beekeeper,  weaving together ancient hive medicine, hands-on practice, and the rhythms of nature to support personal and collective healing.

Hello & Welcome!

Hi, I’m Joy McEwen — natural beekeeper, apitherapist, mother, and land steward.

I’ve been walking with the bees for over 25 years, learning their rhythms, tending to hives, and crafting medicines that nourish both people and the planet. My journey with apitherapy began as a deeply personal one: I watched my husband Eric’s body begin to heal simply through working with the bees,  just being in the apiary helped relieve chronic pain and nerve symptoms.

As I continued studying and practicing bee venom therapy, I began seeing clients who had been struggling for years with Lyme, autoimmune conditions, and chronic pain. Again and again, I witnessed something remarkable, healing that was rooted, regenerative, and lasting from medicine that came straight from the hive, with no middleman.

I created this course because I believe apitherapy belongs in the hands of everyday people, not behind clinic walls or pharmaceutical barriers. This is medicine from the earth. It’s time-tested, spiritually grounded, and profoundly effective when practiced with care.

Whether you’re a health practitioner, beekeeper, homesteader, or someone drawn to deeper healing, I’m honored to share this path with you.
